Employee Assistance Program

Often life brings stress that can not only affect us at home, but also at work. Personal stress can often lead to decreased productivity, loss of concentration, excessive absenteeism, employee conflicts or even drug/alcohol abuse. Better Life Counseling Center is here to make life productive again for your employees and your company.

Better Life Counseling Center‘s EAP can help resolve home or workplace issues affecting on-the-job performance. Issues include, but are not limited to:

Marital/Premarital Issues
Adolescent Issues
Divorce or Separation
Depression
Alcohol/Drug Abuse
Anxiety
Parent-Child Issues
Stress
Emotional/Behavior Disorders
Grief
Human/Interpersonal Relations Skills

EAP benefits include:

Four counseling sessions for each covered employee and/or family per year

Further sessions offered at reduced partnership rates

Two one hour Lunch & Learn Wellness seminars per year OR

One team-building training day per year for teams of up to 20 participants

Critical incident debriefing

One hour of telephone consultation for management per quarter.

Yearly or quarterly billing

Referrals to our EAP may be made by anyone: the employer, employee or family member. The service we provide is confidential. No one at work will know that your employee has accessed the EAP unless they tell someone or sign a release of information form. If an employee’s family member accesses the EAP, the employee will not know unless the family member informs them or signs a release. Children must be accompanied by their guardian for all sessions.

We provide quarterly reports to the employer including the number of employees and dependents who utilized the services and number of hours used. Information is reported in a combined format and de-identified. Better Life Counseling Center EAP will not report user information that may identify the client.
