The choice to marry is one of the most important decisions in life, yet many people do not invest time and energy into preparing for their marital relationship. Couples typically spend more time preparing for their marriage ceremony than building skills to help them have a happy and lasting marriage.
The Better Life Counseling Center provides pre-martial counseling. The five one hour training sessions are provided by a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is trained in providing the Prepare/Enrich couples training. We utilize Prepare Enrich which is a program that enhances one of the most important and challenging tasks of life: Staying Happily Married for a Lifetime. Each couple will take a Prepare Enrich Inventory before the sessions begin. This inventory can be taken online or on paper in our offices. During the sessions the therapist will discuss Communication, Conflict Resolution, Financial Management, Children & Parenting and Marriage Expectations.
The cost is $30.00 for the Prepare Inventory if taken online or $35.00 if taken on paper. Each one hour counseling session is $40.00.
We will offer provide the documentation needed if you are interested in obtaining a Covenant Marriage License. We will also provide any documentation you need if your minister/church requires pre-marital counseling before they will perform the ceremony.
